BECOME PART OF OUR MINISTRY OF SERVING OTHERS

AWANA Club

Children, ages 3 thru 8th grade come together for AWANA Club every Sunday night from 5:00 to 6:30pm. The program is open from September through May. Become part of a welcoming community led by dedicated Christian mentors. AWANA, which stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” is a non-denominational ministry for children and teens. Kids are encouraged to explore and grow in their faith through engaging Bible lessons, Scripture memory challenges, and fun activities.

Community Food Pantry

Volunteers Packing Food

Are you or someone you know in need of food? We don't want anyone in our community to go hungry.   Thanks to God, hard work from our volunteer staff, and donations from the North Carolina Food Bank; New Light Baptist Church is able to bring a small food pantry to the New Light Road/Falls Lake area. We are currently able to accommodate 10 families during our open dates. If you need food, please come on one of the days when the food pantry is open, or if it is an emergency food need, you may use the contact information below.

Currently our pantry is open to the public every 3rd Saturday of the month. See our calendar for specific dates.

Comforting Hands

Nursing Home

Every Sunday, a few of our church members go to Hillside Nursing Home in Wake Forest at 10:00 AM (during our Sunday School time) to hold a Sunday morning service with singing, preaching, and fellowship with elder members of the community. This is headed by Mrs. Linda Jones. If you would like to assist with this ministry, contact us using our contact form. There is always room for help with preaching, singing specials, greeting people, and wheeling people to and from services.
